I've had this phone for a few days now. Got it to replace my water-damaged (usable, but unreliable) Moto G2. For the price, the specs are pretty good. There are a few faster or more capacious phones for this price, but with more questionable build quality. Specs are more or less standard for this price.
The screen resolution is on the low end for this price range (1280×720); but adequate in a phone this size. It's a fairly high-quality IPS panel. Not quite as good as the best I've seen (Apple products, and my GPD XD), but better than the one I got it to replace.
Setup is painless, and it works with all the networks in China. It's got a fingerprint sensor which I have little use for, but which is a nifty toy. (I'd really like if it had an option to turn on the flashlight with the fingerprint sensor, though.)
The ROM kind of sucks (lots of shitty basic apps, some actually useless ones, most can't be removed; a few UI issues, too) and I will be replacing mine as soon as I decide to figure out how. But there's enough space on this phone that for my sort of use, this bloat isn't actually getting in my way, and likely won't. Still, most custom roms are better.
Huawei's app store is missing a lot of apps I use, so I had to procure APKs. Not sure if I'll bother with Google Play or not, as Google services are getting pretty annoying these days. Regardless, it did add a little hassle.
USB file transfers are far more painless than they've ever been with my Moto G2; though not as good as the good old days of USB Mass Storage on android.
I was looking for a capable but relatively inexpensive phone, one that I wouldn't shed tears over if it gets water damaged (I live in a rainy city). There aren't a lot of waterproof phones on the Chinese market (none of the good ones released in the US this year are coming to China), so it's either that or spend 4 or 5 times as much on an Apple (ugh) or Samsung flagship.
Sound quality isn't bad, but not quite as good as the phone I'm coming from.
Pros: Quality screen. Relatively small, compared to the monster phones everyone's churning out these days. Fingerprint sensor if you care about that. Good battery life. Good USB connectivity.
Cons: Mediocre camera. Screen resolution good enough, but lower than many competitors. No off-screen buttons. Crappy ROM. Sound quality could be better.
